Ikiru

Amazing. The best movie I've seen in a long time. Inspiring.

So inspiring I went through the whole blog post by post and put a "10" as a keyword for all films anyone has rated a 10. This way you can search for "10" to find some great movies.

Ping Pong Playa

No matter how confident you are that a movie is going to be terrible, sometimes you just have to give it a try in hopes of finding an unbelievable gem. This is not a gem.

The September Issue

Someone please uncross this sad woman's arms, give her a hug, and stab her in the vagina with a delicious slice of pepperoni pizza.

Gonzo

A documentary about the eccentric author Hunter S. Thompson. The same movie as Buy The Ticket Take The Ride but a bit worse; watch them together and wonder what the fuck was going through 20 peoples' minds when they did the exact same interview twice.

Waltz with Bashir

Along the same lines as Persepolis, but more visually stunning. A story about the effects of war on the psyche, and so much more. An Israli soldier restoring memories of the Lebanese war.

Departures

The Japanese dramatic version of A Certain Kind of Death. Long, funny at times, predictable and a bit sappy. The departure ritual that is performed repeatedly is alluring.

Unfortunatly, airplane movies only involve Jennifer Anniston in witty banter searching for love. I have nothing to post, but I didn't want you all to think I have given up on the blog.
